Everton set to make Broja loan offer this weekend

Everton are set to make an offer to loan Armando Broja to Chelsea this weekend, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Toffees were beaten by Thomas Tuchel’s side on the opening day of the Premier League campaign. Jorginho’s penalty separated the two teams at Goodison Park.

There were promising signs for Everton. But it appeared that Frank Lampard’s side were seriously lacking in having a natural striker in the ranks. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Salomon Rondon were unavailable for the clash.

Calvert-Lewin is currently injured. And with that, it seems imperative that Everton land a new striker before the window ends. And it looks like they’re hoping to make progress on that front in the next few hours.

Broja actually came against Everton. But it looks like he could struggle for regular minutes this season – should he stay at Chelsea.

The Daily Mail are now reporting that Everton are set to bid for Broja this weekend. They want the Albania international on loan.

Everton will bid for Broja this weekend

Broja has been on the radar all summer. Reports from July claimed he was the Toffees’ main target.

The problem Everton may be facing is that Chelsea are battling on four fronts this season. And if Tuchel doesn’t sign another striker himself, the 20-year-old could have a role to play.

He would have the potential to be a brilliant addition for Everton. His form for Southampton was ‘sensational’ at times last season. And he was asking a lot of the same questions as Calvert-Lewin.

Everton fans may not need to wait too long to find out if he will stay on Merseyside as the rest of the Chelsea squad return to London.
