Alex Timossi Andersson returns to Bayern Munich after highly successful loan spell

Young Bayern Munich winger Alex Timossi Andersson returns to Bayern after his recent two-year loan spell in the Austrian Bundesliga at SK Austria Klagenfurt.

The young physical winger has become a mainstay and fan favorite at the Austrian club. In his first season he helped the team win promotion to the Österreichische Fußball Bundesliga and his second year saw him take on a leadership role as the newly promoted club finished a surprising 6th place in the table after losing qualified for the championship group in the OBL program.

In a recent interview with @fotbollskanal, he spoke about his current situation and the fact that the next phase of his career was not yet entirely clear. Asked what will happen now that his loan is over, he replied: “Actually, I don’t really know myself. We will see. I will return to Bayern and we will see what happens next.

Although talented and aggressive, the youngster appears to be realistic about his chances of breaking into a Bayern side loaded with top quality wingers. Assessing the big club’s squad situation, he said: “Of course it’s difficult to take a place in the Bayern first team, and I feel like I’ve passed the level of the second team. So I’m going to go out there, see what they’re going to say and find a solution that works for everyone.

At this stage, it’s hard to say whether the next step will be a loan to another club or an outright sale. It would be hard to imagine the player being sent to Bayern II. His contract expires with Bayern in the summer of 2023, so the next move between the club and Andersson will likely chart his career course.
